Blackwater vs NorthPort Live Score And Result | 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup

Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup between the Blackwater Bossing and the NorthPort Batang Pier scheduled on October 12, 2022, at 3:00 PM live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Bossing will try to make a two-game winning streak after today’s final buzzer while the Batang Pier wanted to make a quick bounce-back victory for them to return to the winning road of this year’s version of the second conference.

Probably the most surprising team this 47th PBA season that started in the All-Filipino Cup is the Blackwater Bossing. Though they started on the wrong foot when the mid-season tournament began a few weeks back but they’re quick to make their adjustment to get back into contention.

Head coach Ariel Vanguardia shed light on some of their secrets for success and that’s by segmenting their schedule. Meaning, he wanted his troops to think that each new segment was a new beginning for them and that could spark their entrance to the next round or even be rewarded with a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals.

“Itong conference hinati namin sa tatlo ang eliminations dahil 12 games, so 4-4-4,” he said. “So tapos na ‘yung first segment, first four games, going to the next segment naman kami. So bagong start ulit, kumbaga, itong next four games. Sa tingin namin, kapag lagi kaming 2-2 each remaining segment, top eight. Pag may 3-1 o parehong 3-1, may pag-asa kaming mag-top six,” Vanguardia added.

After sizzling performances against the Bay Area Dragons and the Meralco Bolts, TNT Tropang Giga head coach Chot Reyes seems to have found the solution to slow down Robert Bolick who dropped back-to-back career-high in points production.

Against TNT, Bolick who was named as the PBA Player of the Week due to the scoring damage he inflicted to their opponents and leading NorthPort to two wins was slowed down and only made 14 points with a dismal shooting from beyond the three-point arc where he logged 1-of-6.

Despite that so-so performance from Bolick, coach Vanguardia knows that the former San Beda Red Lions standout will make an attempt to bounce back. That’s why apart from Batang Pier’s import Prince Ibeh their second marked man is Bolick.

“Kaya nga maganda ang labanan nila ni Ibeh,” said Vanguardia with anticipated matchup with Cameron Krutwig. “Parehong hindi pala-score pero parehong defensive specialists. Pero malaki din sa radar namin si (Robert) Bolick.”
