Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup between the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots and the Converge FiberXers scheduled on October 1, 2022, at 6:45 PM.
The FiberXers will try to make back-to-back wins under their newly installed head coach while the Hotshots have the same thing in mind as they’ll also attempt a 2-0 record after the final buzzer. These basketball actions will take place at the Big Dome as the 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup resumes.
As newly minted Converge head coach Aldin Ayo transitioned from amateur to professional ranks same way how he brings the fast-paced collegiate style of basketball to the PBA as this is what the FiberXers management wanted to happen to fully utilize the youngbloods in their roster.
In their first game in this import-laden conference, coach Ayo and his youth movement unleashed the high-octane type of basketball to surprise the Terrafirma Dyip.
“For us, it’s just step on the pedal and full speed ahead,” said Ayo. “We just have to keep on running because that’s our game.”
To complement the talents of the locals, their import Quincy Miller went explosive with his 38 points and 16 rebounds performance.
For the Magnolia camp, on the other hand, they too had its own stellar opening performance and it also happen against Terrafirma. If the Dyip will be used as the barometer that imports got game then it looks like it’s Magnolia’s foreign reinforcement, Nikola Rakocevic.
The Serbian talent logged 45 points and 25 rebounds in that game. Just like Converge, Rakocevic complimented his game with the great local talents that surround him.
“I’ve got a lot of good players around me, so it makes it a lot easier,” said Rakocevic. “I just try to play hard, do everything I can to help this team.”
