Magnolia vs NLEX Live Score And Result | 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup

Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup between the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots and the NLEX Road Warriors scheduled on October 12, 2022, at 5:45 PM live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Hotshots wanted to keep their perfect record in this import-laden conference and make their winning streak four in a row while the Road Warriors will try to avenge their defeat which they absorbed several days ago.

Most Magnolia fans were worried after seeing their best import for this year’s version of the Commissioner’s Cup go down after he accidentally bumped with teammate Jackson Corpuz. That time, the injury looks severe and Nicholas Rakocevic needed to exit from the game midway through the fourth quarter.

To protect their unblemished record, Calvin Abueva and Paul Lee took over in the winning moments of the match to seal another victory. That is one of the classic games of the franchise where they demonstrated how deep is their lineup considering they started without Ian Sangalang and Rome Dela Rosa.

Good news for Magnolia die-hard fans, Rakocevic was reported that he’ll suit for today’s game. Seems like their one-week break gave him time to rest and heal his injury. That update for sure doesn’t look good for their opponent considering how good the Serbian player is on both floors of the basketball court.

“Talagang focus namin is every game, 1-0 lang kami ng 1-0. Kung anong andito sa harap namin, yan ang tratrabahuhin namin,” said Magnolia coach Chito Victolero.

Meanwhile for NLEX, after their back-to-back victories, they absorbed their first loss and that’s the time when their newly installed head coach Frankie Lim is now present on their bench to call the shots.

According to reports, Lim isn’t expecting a smooth sailing ride due to the fact that a number of their key players are out due to their respective injuries. These NLEX players are JR Quinahan, Anthony Semerad, Philip Paniamogan and Kris Rosales.

“It’s going to take some time but we will be patient with them,” said Lim. “We’ll try to improve every practice day and during our games.”
