Meralco vs Phoenix Live Score And Result | 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup | October 19, 2022

Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup between the Meralco Bolts and the Phoenix Super LPG Fuelmasters scheduled on October 19, 2022, at 3:00 PM live from the PhilSports Arena.

The Fuelmasters will try to extend their winning streak to three in a row while the Bolts are seeking that spark that will boost their winning momentum and climb from the bottom of the second conference standings.

So just like that, Phoenix looks like found its primary offensive weapon after Matthew Wright decided to bring his talents abroad. That new scorer is none other than Tyler Tio, who is still fresh from being named as the PBA’s Player of the Week and we won’t be surprised if he gets another one in the next few days.

Against the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel last Friday, the former Ateneo Blue Eagle standout dropped an impressive 17 points and seven assists.

“Like I said in the last game, it comes from the confidence coach Topex is giving me. And it’s not just the coaching staff but also the veterans. That’s what we have at Phoenix,” said Tio. “It comes down to opportunity. Coach Topex is giving me that and I want to repay his trust.”

Apart from Tio, another youngster who continuously turns the heads of many PBA aficionados is Encho Serrano who added 16 markers and four dimes.

Of course, there are the usual local suspects for coach Topex Robinson’s squad that set a good example for their rookies. Jayvee Mocon and Sean Anthony combined for 31 points and 18 rebounds while their hardworking import chipped in with 15 points and 17 boards.

Meanwhile, for Meralco seems like picking up more wins at this conference is so difficult for them. Currently, they’re staring at their 1-3 win-loss card and joining Terrafirma Dyip at bottom of the standings.

“It’s a must-win situation for us,” said Meralco coach Norman Black.

The Bolts continue to miss the services of Chris Newsome who is still nursing an injury and to add to that challenge, Chris Banchero is also reported to be a game-time decision as he himself also got an injury.
