The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Meralco Bolts at 6:45 PM on October 22, 2022 live from the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City, Metro Manila.
The Elasto Painters will try to stop their losing skid and avoid another one which will extend it to three in a row while the Bolts are thinking the same thing which currently holds a 1-3 slate where they dropped their past two assignments.
If you heard Norman Black makes comments on a certain import then everyone should listen. Black is one of the best imports the league has seen during his playing days back in the 80s and 90s. Now as a head coach, he’ll try to motivate Johnny O’Bryant, Meralco’s import on how and what to expect if you’re tapped as a foreign reinforcement for a certain PBA ball club.
O’Bryant a former NBA player still fresh from his subpar performance that’s when the Bolts faced off against the Phoenix Super LPG Fuelmasters just a few days ago. The ex-Milwaukee Bucks registered only seven points in that said match, prior to that game he was teasing a tournament average of 29.8 points and 16 rebounds.
“But certainly, I have to sit down with Johnny and make him understand that he has to raise his level of performance because he is an import, and a lot more is expected from an import,” said Black.
Meanwhile, ROS too is having some kind of issue with their import. Unlike O’Bryant, Steve Taylor Jr. was got sidelined in their previous game against the TNT Tropang Giga due to the league’s safety and health protocols.
Despite having no import, Rain or Shine demonstrated toughness in the match where they were able to outscore TNT 30-14 in the second quarter.
Rey Nambatac, Anton Asistio, Andrei Caracut, and Leonard Santillan tried to carry the squad led by head coach Yeng Guiao yet not enough to match the firepower of TNT which features several players from Gilas Pilipinas.
