The San Miguel Beermen is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the NorthPort Batang Pier at 5:45 PM on October 26, 2022 live from the Ynares Center in the City of Antipolo, Rizal.

Note: Livestream starts at 5:45 PM, refresh this page to watch the live game at the mentioned gametime.

The Beermen will probably do the same thing for tonight’s assignment and aim to add more “W” after the final buzzer while the Batang Pier will try to prevent falling under the .500 winning percentage mark when the second conference tournament presents its main game in Ynares.

Probably one of the most awaited talents to enter the Philippine Basketball Association is former Ateneo Blue Eagles standout, Will Navarro. The 6-foot-6 was the second-overall pick of NorthPort during the 46th PBA Season draft during the Special round selection.

Navarro initially had planned to take his talents abroad and play with a Korean Basketball League but it wasn’t pushed through due to some legal-related matters with the Samahan ng Basketbol ng Pilipinas. Later, both sides entered into an agreement and here we have now, definitely a new face to follow in the local basketball scene.

With another Gilas Pilipinas player on the lineup manned by head coach Pido Jarencio, without a doubt, the chances of Batang Pier going deeper in the tournament is now high.

Meanwhile for San Miguel, losing June Mar Fajardo due to an injury means a lot for the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup champs. SMB head coach Leo Austria wanted to keep the morale of his troops high in the absence of the man who is also known as the “Kraken”.

“It’s a matter of changing mindsets. It’s really hard because we replaced imports and wala si June Mar. The morale was very low when June Mar was injured but I told them we have to fight and we can’t dwell on it,” said Austria.

Good thing, in their last outing against the NLEX Road Warriors, their newly appointed import was able to lead them to a victory. Devon Scott operated inside the paint, the area where Fajardo mostly creates his damage.

Scott seems now able to find his way in the PBA and starting to familiarize his teammates’ skills. Against NLEX, he is one out of the six SMB players who produced double figures in points production while leading them in the rebounding category as he logged ten caroms.
