The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the NLEX Road Warriors at 5:45 PM on November 25, 2022 live from the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City, Metro Manila.

The Gin Kings are chasing their eighth victory this conference and wanted to be among the squads that will carry twice-to-beat advantage when playoffs arrive while the Road Warriors will try to snatch its fourth win and end their five-game losing slump.

To officially enter the second conference playoffs, head coach Tim Cone and the entire “ka-Barangay” needed to go through a needle as they put into a tough test when they played against the TNT Tropang Giga last November 20 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Ginebra’s composure underwent a litmus test which could be one of the main factors if they wanted to dive deeper in the upcoming playoffs. Without TNT’s key personnel like Jayson Castro and their import Cameron Oliver who suffered an injury, team NSD got clamped down and was limited to only 15 points in the third quarter during that game.

Good thing, they were able to recover in the final quarter and register their seventh win this conference.

“You named me as the winning coach, but I felt I was totally outcoached. They lost Jayson (Castro), they lost Mikey (Williams) a bit and they played with no import. They were dropping like flies but they kept coming at us. It was a well-coached game and I scrambled to keep up,” said coach Tim Cone.

Against the Road Warriors, coach Tim will be facing one of his former player-turned-head-coaches and that’s Frankie Lim who did the playmaking role with Alaska Milkmen back in the early 90s.

“He was my team captain with Alaska for like four years, he knows me really well. So looking forward to this matchup and seeing Frankie again,” said Cone.

For NLEX, the doors of the quarterfinals aren’t completely closed for them and there’s still a slim chance that they can take it. They have two more games in their schedule and sweeping all of them may give them the last quarterfinals seat.
