Here are the scores, updates, and results of the NBA 2022-2023 Regular Season between the Miami Heat (MIA) and the Los Angeles Lakers (LAL) on December 29, 2022 (All times are in Philippine Standard Time) at the FTX Arena.

The Miami Heat defeats the Los Angeles Lakers as they defend hoemecourt with a final score of 112-98.

Miami has now move past the .500 mark in the standings category with 18 wins and 17 losses after they triumph over Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the Lakers has now lost four of their past five contests.

Jimmy Butler scored 27 points while shooting 11-18 from the floor while Adebayo had 23 points and 14 boards in the winning effort. Herro added 18 points.

Turnovers were the biggest factor of Los Angeles’ loss against the Heat, turning over 26 possessions and had 31 points off turnovers. Because of this, Miami was able to stand a 22-point winning margin against the visiting squad. The Heat only had six turnovers against the Lakers.

“Certainly, the ball control was a big positive tonight,” coach Erik Spoelstra shared.

“The King” led Los Angeles with 27 points, nine boards, and six dishes while knocking down ten of his 18 looks in the matchup. James also agreed of how their turnovers led to their deflating setback.

“That’s pretty much the game right there,” he said.

Currently, Los Angeles is 14-21. It is the second-worst record for any of the teams that James played in within 35 games. During his rookie season, the Cavaliers began with an 11-24 record.

“I don’t want to finish my career playing at this level, from a team aspect,” James said during the post-game interview. “I want to still be able to compete for championships because I know what I can still bring to any ballclub with the right pieces.”

Westbrook and Schroder both had 15 in the losing effort while Miami’s Martin had 13 points while Vincent had 12.
