Here are the scores, updates, and results of the NBA 2022-2023 Regular Season between the New Orleans Pelicans (NOP) and the Milwaukee Bucks (MIL) on December 20, 2022 (All times are in Philippine Standard Time) at the Smoothie King Center.
The Milwaukee Bucks defeats the New Orleans Pelicans in their own home court with a final score of 128-119 behind Giannis’ magnificent performance.
Milwaukee, currently atop of the Eastern Conference standings with 22 wins and eight setbacks, now extends their winning streak to two. In doing so, they also drop down the Pelicans to the fourth spot of the Western Conference standings and now has a four-game losing slump.
At one point, the Bucks held an 18-point winning difference against New Orleans. The home squad were then able to inch there way close to the opposing team’s lead, but they were not able to take the victory.
Furthermore, the Bucks shot unfairly as they hit 55% of their shots on the floor while New Orleans knocked down 42% of their attempts.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee with 42 points and ten boards, ending the contest with a terrific double-double performance. Not only that, but “The Greek Freak” only missed five of his 17 looks on the field.
Brook Lopez added 30 points alongside four three-pointers and seven rebounds while Holiday had 18 points in the win.
New Orleans’ front court had huge amounts of firepower against Milwaukee. Jonas Valanciunas had a brilliant performance for the team, tallying 37 points and 18 rebounds while shooting 14-24. CJ McCollum, who played for 41 minutes, had 31 points, eight boards, and nine assists, nearly finishing the matchup with a triple-double stat line. Williamson added 18 points in the losing effort.
The Bucks advance to 22-8 while the Pelicans drop down to 18-22.
