The San Miguel Beermen is scheduled for a Semi-Finals round Game 4 against the Bay Area Dragons at 5:45 PM on December 21, 2022 live from the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila.

The San Miguel Beermen survives against the Bay Area Dragons and takes a 98-96 victory as they reduce Bay Area’s 2-1 lead in their best-of-5 series.

SMB showed their resiliency against the Dragons as they inched their way back against the Dragons’ lead that piled up by as much as 14 points. In the third period, the powerhouse tallied 32 points while limiting the opposing team only to score 23 points.

Both squads went head-to-head against each other late in the fourth. With under a minute remaining, Lam knocked down an open corner three-pointer that gave Bay Area a three-point winning advantage at 96-93.

After a couple of possessions, San Miguel went on a fast break that ended up with a huge three by Enciso that put the team ahead by two points with only 11 seconds to go, rocking the entire crowd.

On the other end, Lam drove to the basket for a layup hoping to tie the game, but Scott came from out of nowhere and swatted the ball out of bounds.

The Dragons then inbounded the ball and passed it to Blankley for a layup to tie the matchup, but it was no good, resulting in them having their first setback of the series against the Beermen.

Devon Scott ended the game with 25 points, and 14 rebounds, and went 11-19 on his shots while Fajardo had 21 points and 16 boards, ending Game 3 with a terrific double-double performance.

Enciso added 16 points while Perez had 17 points. Romeo, who entered as a second unit, had 13 for the Beermen.

Bay Area had significant outputs from their players, but it was not enough to advance to the Finals and sweep San Miguel.

Nicholson led the Dragons with 34 points and 14 rebounds while playing for 43 minutes of action against SMB. Zhu added 17 points while Lam and Liu had 24 points in the losing effort.
