The Talk ‘N Text Tropang Giga is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Terrafirma Dyip at 4:30 PM on February 11, 2023 live from the SM Mall of Asia Arena at Pasay City, Metro Manila.
The Dyip wanted to pick up where they left off and that’s registering their back-to-back wins which seem don’t come to easy for them while the KaTropa will try to keep their top-four position in the standings and maintain their hot streak.
For the first time in many moons, Terrafirma finds themselves in the top-eight in the most current PBA standings where they’re now at .500 in winning percentage. That early success is probably due to their electrifying import Jordan Williams and the continue brilliant performance from Juami Tiongson.
However, if you ask Terrafirma’s head coach Johnedel Cardel it’s all about teamwork and he wanted to see that in their today’s battle against the top TNT.
“Basta as long as we continue playing as a team on both ends baka sakaling manalo ulit kami,” said Cardel.
The Dyip’s chief bench tactician also wanted the pace of the game to favor their side which expects a close scoring battle where they see good results in their past four outings.
“Alam naman nating very strong team ang TNT, pero if we keep it close and give ourselves a chance in the end baka maka-tsamba ulit,” Cardel added.
For TNT’s camp on the other hand, after their match versus Terrafirma their upcoming schedule looks tougher as they will be going head-to-head with the likes of San Miguel Beermen, the usual runner-up Meralco Bolts then there’s the defending champion the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.
That’s why picking up more wins now is so crucial especially if they wanted to keep their top-four position.
“This (Converge game) is important, but the next one is also important,” said TNT head coach Jojo Lastimosa.
One of the winning recipes that they may have prepared is to encourage their import Jalen Hudson to be more of an all-around player since there’s already no doubt in his ability to score.
“This (Converge game) is important, but the next one is also important,” said Lastimosa.
