The San Miguel Beermen is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Converge FiberXers at 6:45 PM on February 11, 2023 live from the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila.

The Beermen hot streak is real and without a doubt, they wanted to keep the flames as long as they can at the same time keep their record unblemished while the FiberXers will try to make a quick bounce back after they ended their winning streak in their last outing.
If you ask head coach Jorge Gallent what is their recipe for success why San Miguel looks more dangerous at this conference you will hear him saying it’s all about teamwork and proper execution on both ends of the court.
“It’s all the work of the players. They’re playing hard and they’re playing together offensively and defensively. They’re doing a great job listening and learning our offensive and defensive schemes,” said Gallent.
Against their game versus the Meralco Bolts just a few days ago, that tenacious defense was felt by the opposing team’s import KJ McDaniels who was only held to 18 points and 13 rebounds. Prior to that, Bolt’s reinforcement player can easily log 28 points and 20 boards a night.
Likewise, SMB’s electrifying local player CJ Perez went blazing with his 19 points and five rebounds. “Ang inisip ko lang di ako titigil hanggang kita ko yung daan papunta sa basket,” said Perez.
For Converge on the other hand, after registering their four straight wins they got clamped down by the TNT Tropang Giga in their last schedule, 122-128. That was an intense shooting battle between imports.
Jamaal Franklin dropped 47 points and 14 rebounds performance yet still not enough to deliver the goods which their fans and coaches hope to see after the final buzzer. The reason was that TNT’s Jalen Hudson eclipsed Franklin’s scoring night where he also had a good shooting stroke where he made 56 markers.
Tonight will be another test for the young guns of the FiberXers and for sure that’ll make them only better as the tournament progress.
