
After a heart-breaking loss in Game 1, the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel bounced back in Game 2 against the Meralco Bolts 82-79.

Just like in the first game of the series, Gin Kings had a huge lead after half-time but the Bolts weren’t giving up and again almost stole game 2.
The big difference for Coach Tim Cone squad was the agressive play of their import Justin Brownlee who scored 32 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while the best import of 2016 PBA Governor’s Cup just logged 22 points for the losing team.
The clash of two rookies Chris Newsome of Meralco and Scottie Thompson of Ginebra were superb, they scored 10 points and 9 points respectively.
Veteran point guard Jimmy Alapag was also recognized before the third quarter began as he surpassed Allan Caidic for most 3-points made.
Game 3 is scheduled on October 12, 2016 at Smart Arena Coliseum in Quezon City.
