Before plunging to 2017 South East Asian games, Gilas Pilipinas will fly to Taiwan to participate in the 2017 William Jones Cup.
Coach Chot Reyes squad will attempt to win back-to-back and also defend the crown which was won by Mighty Sports last year.
The 2016 Philippines delegates took home the trophy by sweeping all of its 8-game assignments, those are USA, South Korea, India, Japan, Taiwan, Egypt and Iran.
Gilas will be reinforced by Talk ‘N Text’s backup import Mike Myers. Still fresh from their 2017 FIBA 3X3 trip, Kiefer Ravena and Kobe Paras will be also present in the game.
The veteran coach who once led Purefoods to a championship went to twitter to announce its roster.

The team also called the service of a Fil-German basketball standout, Chris Standhardinger. The 6’7 is not only popular in Germany basketball but also knows how to dominate the game.
Back in 2016, he was the ProA’s Most Valuable Player and was also part of the BBL All-Star in 2015.
