The Philippine Basketball Association has set the stage where it will recognize its best players during the 44th PBA season.

Awards which are at stake are Sportsmanship Award, Most Improved Player, Rookie of the Year and probably the biggest is the Most Valuable Player trophy.

For the ROY race, the leading contender is Columbian Dyip CJ Perez while for the MVP plum, the heavy favorite is still June Mar Fajardo after leading the San Miguel Beermen to two championships (Philippine and Commissioner’s Cup) in last year’s tournament.

Likewise, the league will announce the members of the First and Second Mythical Team then the All-Defensive Team.
