
Following to his presidential appointment as the chairperson of the National Youth Commission of the Philippines, Aiza Siguerra was formally appointed as the new board director of Movie Workers Welfare Foundation or also known as Mowelfund.
This was concurrent to Aiza’s graduation in intensive filmmaking workshop along with his 29 classmates. Liza Dino the spouse of Aiza also attended the same class who presently serve as the chairperson of Film Development Council of the Philippines.
The appointment was a big surprise to the former showbiz child wonder considering that institution’s past leaders were senior showbiz personalities. However, the film and welfare agency has now decided that this time around the leadership will be given to new and younger generation.
Mowelfund has likewise clarified that they have already selected Aiza prior to Liza’s appointment in one of their agencies.
Meanwhile, Aiza felt dismay that the Sangguniang Kabataan elections will be postponed this coming October.
In an official post found in NYC Facebook, Aiza pleads not to remove the youth out of the governance equation.

Futhermore he cited that the SK or Sangguniang Kabataan is a place to nurture nation’s future leaders.
“The SK is a unique feature of Philippine democracy. It is the most concrete expression of the constitutional mandate that encourages civic engagement among young people. By providing this venue for young people to participate in governance, we are investing in the next generation of effective local and national leaders,” said Aiza.
