Here is the list of rookies selected by the Alaska Aces during the 2021 PBA Draft.
The Alaska Aces youth movement got intensified after they let go of one of their trusted veterans in Vic Manuel during the off-season. It’s now the time for head coach Jeff Cariaso to start his new era of Aces basketball by building his roster.
To fill up the void left by the “Muscle Man”, in the first round Alaska picked a bruiser in Ben Adamos who previously played in Perpetual Altas and in Bacolod-Master’s Sardines in the MPBL. He got the 6-foot-6 ceiling and all he needs now to be officially the new Vic Manuel in the team is to add more muscles and be more comfortable shooting from outside which he already shown in the amateur ranks. In Perpetual, he logged an average of 45.1 shooting from the field while 30.8 percent from beyond the arc.
In the second round, Alaska received two rookies as they selected Taylor Browne and Alec Stockton both are playing in the guard position. The new blood will boost Aces’ patented full-court press, a defensive strategy that keeps them a steady contender in years.
The last pick of the Aces was in the third round where they took RK Ilagan.
