The Alaska Aces is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Talk ‘N Text KaTropa Texters at 4:15 P.M. on August 4, 2017 live from Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Aces for sure are looking to end their longest losing streak while the KaTropa wanted to avenge their defeat against San Miguel Beermen last Wednesday.
Just a week ago, Alaska added another one loss to their 2017 PBA Governor’s Cup record and a whopping 11 straight defeats since April.
Without Calvin Abueva who is their all-around player during the Aces last outing, coach Alex Compton squad weren’t able to pull a win against Star Hotshots.
However, with all the struggle of Alaska, Talk ‘N Text mentor Nash Racela still consider them as a dangerous team. Especially how motivated its players to end the skid.
“Alaska, at this point, they’re a tough team to play,” he said then.
“Alam namin na naghahanap sila ng panalo. They’ll do everything they could to break that losing streak, so mahirap silang kalaban ngayon.”

During TNT’s game against the Beermen, they turned over the ball 25 times which resulted to 26 opponents points. Limiting those turnovers is one of the keys to give them a win according to KaTropa bench tactician.
“Alaska is a dangerous team right now,” said Racela. “We need to match their aggressiveness [tomorrow]. We also must minimize our turnovers.”
Former MVP Kelly Williams will also be doubtful in today’s game. Williams suffered an Achilles tendon injury during the fourth quarter action versus SMB.
Still, TNT have enough manpower at their front court to makeover the slack left by Williams.
Troy Rosario, Mo Tautuaa, Ranidel de Ocampo and Harvey Carvey will be Racela’s guys to match up against Vic Manuel, Sonny Thoss, Noynoy Baclao, Kevin Racal and Calvin Abueva in the post.
