Alaska Aces forward Vic Manuel is now in the active roster of his mother ball-club to reinforce their ongoing 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup campaign.
As published in PBA’s transaction page, “The Muscle Man” looks like ready to play another PBA battle.
“Re-activated Vic Manuel in lieu of Noy Baclao, who has been relegated to the team’s Injured/Reserve List.”
The last time Manuel was seen in an official PBA game was during their 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup run versus the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok. He fought through the pains caused by his injury the entire championship series and on Game 6 he finally sat out which resulted to a defeat for them.
With Manuel, the Aces were 8-3 in the elimination round of the 2018 season-ending conference. He averaged 15.9 points with 5 rebounds a game in that tournament.
Manuel took most of the slack left by Calvin Abueva in the forward position when the enigmatic player moved to the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters and also during his AWOL days with the Aces.
The pride of Licab, Nueva Ecija will start his renewed PBA journey versus a team that defeated them in the Governors’ Cup championship round, the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok this afternoon.
Manuel can make a sort of payback type of game to get him rolling as the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup progress.
