The Alaska Aces is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Blackwater Elite at 4:30 P.M. on April 29, 2018 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Elite are still searching for its victory in the ongoing 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup after two early defeats. Likewise, the Aces are also in the same hunt when PBA resumes this afternoon.
Blackwater got stunned when they faced the surprising Columbian Dyip and a losing streak started after they battled the Phoenix Petroleum Fuel Masters. Against Phoenix, they climbed back from a 22-point deficit but don’t have the enough gas to complete the upset.
Coach Leo Isaac wanted his troops to play consistent basketball game. The intensity should be there from the start of the game until the last buzzer has sounded especially against the Alaska Aces.
“We need to play with a lot of energy from the start until the end of the game,” said Isaac.
The Aces made its second conference debut last Wednesday and their newly introduced import, Antonio Campbell had a spectacular night. The former Ohio Bobcats logged 40 points and 20 rebounds but in a losing effort.
Campbell was forced to sit in the bench because of cramps while his teammates are busy chasing the Elasto Painters. Chris Banchero sent the game to overtime after he hits beats the buzzer in the fourth quarter.
However, similar to Blackwater’s game against the Fuel Masters, the Aces weren’t able to complete the comeback.
