The Aces will try to make a follow-up win while the Elite will attempt to be consistent on their winning and will prove to everyone that their early success is no fluke when the 2020 All-Filipino Cup resumes this evening in Pampanga.
The defensive squad is not that exciting compared to a high-scoring ball-club yet that is the patent of Alaska since its early years in the league until the present.
In their previous game versus the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok, the spicy defense of the Aces is once again in display not allowing their opponent to make a comeback or steal the victory with another magical buzzer-beating play.
With that, Alaska made the heads of several PBA coaches turn heads and the talks of being them as one of the serious trophy contenders are now in the discussion table.
Blackwater head coach Nash Racela is among those coaches and will try to overcome Alaska in their main game clash tonight.
“Actually, I’ve been talking to some coaches also and pareho naman assessment namin,” related Racela.
“Alaska is really one of those teams na really performing very well before the pandemic and then pagpasok dito sa bubble isa sila sa mga most conditioned teams, of course, alongside TNT,” added Racela.
“It will be tough playing them, especially coming off their first win.”
For his Elite, it seems that their offensive strategy kick-starts in the third quarter. That was Blackwater’s trend in their first three outings which now gave them two victories.
The former TNT head coach isn’t new to winning and knows how to utilize the skills of his players to boost their winning chances. The only lacking in his basketball recipe is the full deployment of their number two overall pick, Maurice Shaw.
