The Alaska Aces is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Blackwater Elite at 4:30 P.M. on October 26, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Cubao, Quezon City.
The Aces will try to improve their win-loss record at 1-6 while the Elite wanted to snap their two-game losing slump when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup continues in Cubao this afternoon.
It’s now the midway of the third conference and the bottom of the standings are scrambling.
Teams belong to that group should start or even sweep their remaining schedules in order to participate in the second round of the tournament.
“One game at a time” may be the mantra of the coaches now as they knew winning a single game could change their fate this season-ending tourney.
“Isang panalo lang kasi, malaki iaangat mo sa standings,” said Blackwater head coach Aris Dimaunahan.
To help them improve their current spot in the standings, the Ever Billena franchise made a move in their roster by sending Raymar Jose and Allein Maliksi for KG Canaleta, Mike Tolomia, and two future draft picks.
“We’re hoping the crash course we gave them would be enough for now para makatulong sila,” Dimaunahan said.
For Alaska on the other hand, coach Jeff Cariaso and his entire Aces needed to pile more numbers in their win column to at least have better chances to compete at the last spot of the quarterfinals.
