The Alaska Aces is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Meralco Bolts at 4:30 P.M. on June 17, 2018 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Aces are on a mission and will attempt to protect its winning streak and extend it to eight while the Bolts chance of finishing as one of top two teams when the 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup eliminations round ended is very much alive and winning this afternoon’s game is a must for them.

Coach Alex Compton is very good in remembering things especially how the NLEX Road Warriors beating them each time they have a duel. This bad memory, he shared it with his current import Antonio Campbell who is playing great basketball with Alaska.

“Coach was telling of their losing record against NLEX, but I told them I wasn’t here then. Before the game, I said we’re gonna get the ‘W,’ and that’s what we did,” said Campbell.

Well talking about Compton’s memory, he still recall how the Bolts able to beat Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok just almost a month ago. He was very impressed and sent a text message to his former coach Luigi Trillo.

“I told him you guys are so good,” Compton said of his short conversation with his former coach at Alaska. “That was May 19 and that opinion hasn’t change.”

“So if we don’t play better on Sunday, it’s going to be tough.”

Meralco on the other hand has its own winning streak and coach Norman Black’s team will attempt to make it four in a row. This is a significant game to the Bolts if they want to be at the top of the standings and gain a twice-to-win advantage in the Quarterfinals round.
