The Road Warriors are looking to snap their three-game losing streak and hold their chances on qualifying to the next round while the Aces wanted a three consecutive victories and solidify their position in the Top Four.
NLEX will be coming in from a heart-breaking defeat against the Meralco Bolts in its last outing.
The Road Warriors was leading six points under two minutes in the game and was looking poised on logging a victory. However, the Meralco Bolts caught fire and blasted a 9-0 run to seal the deal.
“We are desperate for a win. As good as Alaska is playing nowadays we need to break our losing streak,” said Road Warriors head coach Yeng Guiao.
For the Alaska Aces on the other hand, they’re playing well especially their import Mike Harris.
Harris is currently averaging 32.76 points and 22.3 rebounds in their last three games which are all wins.
Yet, Alaska head coach Alex Compton is cautious of what NLEX can bring in their today’s match-up considering that the Road Warriors are hungry for a victory.
“NLEX has always caused us problems with their pace, spreading the floor and great use of the pick-and-roll,” said Compton. “Hopefully, we can defend for 48 minutes and defend the basketball.”
