The Alaska Aces is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the NorthPort Batang Pier at 4:30 P.M. on November 3, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
The Aces wanted to make a follow-up victory while the Batang Pier will try to extend their winning streak to three when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup resumes this afternoon at the Big Dome.
Coach Pido Jarencio squad already started their final playoffs push when they met the San Miguel Beermen and took home the victory.
Yet, that win wasn’t easy as NorthPort lost Robert Bolick who suffered an injury in that said match.
Bolick was later diagnosed and found out that he got a partial torn on his ACL. The third overall pick of the 2018 PBA Draft undergone surgery and he is expected to be on the Batang Pier’s sideline for the next six months.
Yet, NorthPort fans still have reasons to celebrate as they added a tested and proven Christian Standhardinger in their roster and was spectacular against his former team.
For the Alaska Aces, there is a rumor flying around the social media that their ace point guard Chris Banchero will be shipped to the Magnolia Hotshots for Robert Herndon and Rodney Brondial.
Also, it was said that Banchero may not suit up for this afternoon’s game as he is preparing his transfer to his new ball-club.
That may hurt Alaska’s season-ending tourney campaign but for sure Aces officials think that it’s for the best of the franchise and their retooled lineup will be seen in full effect in the upcoming seasons.
