The Alaska Aces is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters at 4:30 P.M. on October 13, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Cubao, Quezon City.

The Elasto Painters will try to snap their three-game losing slump while the Aces hopes that this afternoon’s game will give them their first victory for the season-ending tourney when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup resumes at the Big Dome.

Rain or Shine should be in their two-game winning streak only if they’re able to make a proper close-out during their games against the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok and the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters.

Those two matches were only decided by a one-possession, yet, the cheers and celebration went to their opponents.

“We just have to find ways to close games out,” coach Caloy said. “Our last two games were lost by one possession.”

For Alaska on the other hand, Jeron Teng was reported that he will finally suit up with his team today after got sidelined due to his injury.

That’s definitely good news for Aces fans and of course to head coach Jeffrey Cariaso who is still searching for his first victory with the team who drafted him back in 1995.

Against Magnolia, the Aces has shown a glimpse of what they can actually do with Cariaso’s basketball system. He wanted his troops to continue to improve and stay disciplined.

“Are we worried? Yes, of course. But again, have we played the right way? Have we improved from the last game? Yes also. So you have to take the positive out of what happened tonight,” said Cariaso.

“If we continue staying disciplined, we continue staying together no matter what happens then I think susunod na ‘yung wins. So this was a positive step forward for us,” added Cariaso.
