Aljon Mariano will remain as a Kabarangay this upcoming PBA 44th season as he signed a fresh three-year deal with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.
The former San Beda stalwart remains untouchable from other PBA teams as coach Tim Cone and the entire GSM franchise seems looking to keep the current core intact.
One of coach Cone’s action when he took over the coaching role in Ginebra was drafting Mariano back in the 2015 PBA Draft using their second round pick 16 rights.
This 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup when key players like Greg Slaughter, Joe Devance, Jervy Cruz and Sol Mercado got sidelined due to injuries, Mariano took over the scoring slack.
His best output was during their game against the San Miguel Beermen in the eliminations round.
Last September 23, the 26-years-old, had 20 points and seven rebounds with unblemished shooting from the field at 7-of-7.
