Gilas Pilipinas naturalized player Andray Blatche is wearing again the Gilas jersey after serving his three-game suspension from FIBA.
His presence on the court not only felt by the opponent but also by his teammates.
This time around, the Philippine team now has a go-to-guy when scoring really matters. That factor was absent during their games in the fifth window where they dropped all of those matches.
Blatche scored Gilas first three-points in a very entertainment way. He was able to got loose from the defense of his guard and finished his move with a slam dunk plus a foul.
In his return with Gilas, he stuffed the stat sheet with his 17 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 blocks performance.
Now that coach Yeng got what he wants from a player that can command a double-team, the chances of Gilas to qualify for the 2019 FIBA World Cup is much brighter.
Next game for Gilas is against team Kazakhstan and scheduled on February 24 at 10:30 PM (PHI time).
