As the anticipation for the return of “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB) continue to rise, “ASAP Natin ‘To” paid tribute to the reality show by using its iconic theme songs in one of its segments.

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez sang “Pinoy Ako,” the official theme song of Pinoy Big Brother, which is sung by the Filipino band Orange and Lemons.

Pinoy Ako has been used since the show’s inception in 2005, and it has been part of Filipino pop culture. The basis for much of the musical scoring used in the show it promotes to Filipinos and obviously to the housemates who enter the Big Brother house to believe in themselves and show their real personalities without any pretensions. After all, not everyone is perfect.

PBB fever made waves anew after it announced its return amid the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic and the denial of the 70 congressmen of a legislative franchise to ABS-CBN. It invited aspiring housemates to audition via a Kumu app – a Filipino community platform where you can get paid by becoming a live streamer, win cash prizes by playing live games and make money by participating in various promotions run on Kumu.

Thus far, in its first auditions done entirely virtual, “PBB Connect” has attracted 177,524 aspiring housemates, the highest audition turnout in the show’s history. These aspiring housemates went out of their comfort zones to connect, show their personalities, and unleash their talents in the hopes of entering the famous Big Brother house.

As per the PBB announcements, Toni Gonzaga, Robi Domingo, and Bianca Gonzalez will not be the only hosts of the upcoming new edition of Pinoy Big Brother.

The others tapped for hosting duties are Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, Enchong Dee, Richard Juan, Melai Cantiveros, and Kim Chiu.
