The Master Sardines will try to make a quick bounce-back win while the Steels wanted a back-to-back win when the 2019 MPBL Lakan Cup resumes at Filoil Flying V this evening.

The Bacolod squad is coming from a blowout defeat versus the Manila Stars last December 20 at the San Andres Sports Complex.

The Stars almost showed no mercy inside the paint against the Master Sardines as they made 48 points in that area. Likewise, they were efficient in turning their forced turnovers on their opponent into their favor where they logged 35 points.

Mustapha Yankee Haruna led Bacolod with his 17 points and three boards while Pao Javelona and Benedict Adamos each scored 11 points.

For team Basilan, on the other hand, they were able to escape the Pasig Sta. Lucia Realtors in an exciting overtime match last January 1 at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium.

The Steels were looking good at the 44 seconds mark in the fourth quarter when the Realtors decided to make a comeback and forced the game to overtime. Yet, in the extra period, Basilan made sure that there’ll be no more comeback as they held Pasig to only score nine points.

Jerald Bautista led his squad with his 19 markers while Gabriel Dagangon added 15 markers and seven boards.
