The Bacolod Master Sardines is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Mindoro Tamaraws at 4:00 P.M. on June 24, 2019 live from the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila City.

The Bacolod and the Mindoro squads both part of the expansion teams will make its MPBL debut this afternoon in San Andres Sports Complex.

Joining the national basketball tournament is not really new for the Bacolod group.

The City of Smiles was once the home of the Negros Slashers in the now defunct Metropolitan Basketball Association where they won a championship back in the early 2000s.

In this Lakan Cup, the Masters has recruited two PBA veterans led by Paolo Javellona (NorthPort Batang Pier) and Mark Tallo (NLEX Road Warriors).

The duo are expected to boost Bacolod’s back-court.

For the Tamaraws on the other hand, they’ll be parading a player who once scored 89 points back in his junior years.

Joshua Saret will try to start a new life for his basketball career. His quadruple-double particularly his 89-point performance back in July 22, 2009 still stand until now after he broke the record set earlier by Keith Agovida who dropped 82 points.
