The Barangay Ginebra blew their 15-point lead in their last matchup against the NLEX Road Warriors. At the end of the contest, they lost to NLEX’s 12-point lead.
Justin Brownlee finished the game with a 30-point triple-double performance, tallying 36 points, ten rebounds, and eleven assists. Not only that, but Brownlee also had three steals on the defensive end. Christian Standhardinger added 16 points while converting eight of his 13 looks from the field. “C-Stand” also had eight rebounds.
Scottie Thompson also could have ended the matchup with a triple-double just like Brownlee. The athletic guard scored 14 points, racked up 17 rebounds, and dished out nine assists. He also had a steal and two blocks on the defensive end. Japeth Aguilar, who came from the bench, provided Ginebra with 15 points while shooting 5-9 from the field.
Ginebra got left behind in the third quarter in their clash against NLEX since they only scored 19 points against the Road Warriors’ 30 in that period alone.
Meanwhile, the Rain or Shine Elastopainters are also coming off from a loss in their previous matchup. They lost to San Miguel Beermen’s four-point advantage at the end of the contest. Moreover, they even trailed a 19-point lead by the Beermen. Despite cutting off the commanding lead of the opposing team, they were still not able to move past San Miguel.
Henry Walker had 23 points and ten boards while shooting 6-11 from the field. Belga added 19 points from the bench while hitting eight of his 15 attempts from the field.
Nambatac logged in 17 points while Ponferada had 15. “Stingrey” also had eight rebounds and five assists.
