NorthPort Batang Pier kept their winning streak and extended to three after beating Barangay Ginebra San Miguel yesterday at the Big Dome.

Batang Pier’s prized rookie Robert Bolick hit a crucial three-pointer with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter.

His long distance shot gave his team the needed separation, 98-97 to put the pressure back in Ginebra’s side.

Coach Tim Cone boys weren’t able to make a basket in the next ball possession and NorthPort punched a ticket as they book a seat for the playoffs.

“We did well in our last three games, at blessing na rin sa team na nakapasok kami sa quarters outright. Talo kami six in a row, buti nakabalik,” said NorthPort coach Pido Jarencio.

NorthPort ended the elimination round as the seventh seeded team and they will face the number two seeded Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the next round of the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup.

“Mabigat ang Rain or Shine. Kumpleto ang lineup non; may big men, may shooters, may guards at may Gilas players,” said Jarencio. “Pero bilog ang bola at tignan natin. Gagawa tayo ng magandang game plan, baka naman makuha natin yan.”
