The Batangas City Athletics is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Caloocan Supremos at 8:30 P.M. on July 18, 2019 live from the Batangas City Coliseum, Batangas.
The Athletics wanted to pick up their third win this season while the Supremos are eyeing to move up in the standings as they target to improve their 1-4 record when the 2019 MPBL Lakan Cup resumes this evening in Batangas City.
The Batangueño squad is coming from a grueling match the got extended to another five minutes versus the Basilan Steel last July 15.
In the overtime period, Batangas City made sure there’s no more comeback run from their opponent as they completely shut the doors of opportunity by limiting Basilan to score four points.
Val Acuna was one of their heroes in that match where he manufactured 20 points and ten boards while Jeff Viernes paced them in scoring with 27 markers and seven rebounds.
For Caloocan on the other hand, they’re not fortunate to snag a victory in their last outing against the Bacoor Strikers last July 12.
Bacoor’s RJ Ramirez gave them a heartbreak when he converted his driving layup with a second remaining in the game.
Paul Joseph Sanga tried to answer back with a desperation three-pointer but his shot was a miss.
Six Supremos scored in double figures in that game. They were led by John Carlos Escalambre with his 18 points along with three rebounds and four assists.
Their fans are expecting the same performance especially that they’re playing against a crowd that will cheer not in their favor.
