The Blackwater Elite is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the GlobalPort Batang Pier at 4:30 P.M. on January 19, 2018 live from the Cuneta Astrodome.
Still fresh from the loss it received last Wednesday, the Elite are looking to make a bounce back while the Batang Pier is eyeing to start a winning streak.
Blackwater looking sharp in the first half during their bout against the Talk ‘N Text KaTropa. However, in the second half Kelly Williams who arrived late in the game due to heavy traffic outside the arena changed the mood of the game as he stopped Blackwater big-men operating the paint.
RR Pogoy, Jayson Castro and Troy Rosario threw in the final punch and TNT able to control the game in the fourth quarter.
Instead of being down because of the loss, Poy Erram is looking forward for their game against GlobalPort and aiming to start a new winning momentum.
“Dapat imbes na isipin namin ito as negative, stick na lang kami sa positives. Marami pa kaming games eh,” said big man Poy Erram. “Move on na lang kami at kailangan natin magpakita ng maganda against Globalport,” he added.
Erram is currently playing at his best, the 6’8 center logged 22 points and 11 rebounds versus the Barangay Ginebra then almost another double-double performance against the Talk ‘N Text with his 20 points and 8 rebounds.
After its back-to-back losses, GlobalPort was able to log its win this All-Filipino cup versus Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
Without Terrence Romeo, Stanley Pringle continue to carry the scoring load as he dropped 29 points in their last outing. Kelly Nabong looks like he’s working on his outside shooting as he converted 2-of-3 from three-point area and contributed 12 points.
Nabong’s outside threat must continue this afternoon to pull-out the Blackwater bigs from the paint and provide Pringle more room to operate.
