The Blackwater Elite is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the NorthPort Batang Pier at 4:30 P.M. on October 5, 2019 live from the Ynares Center, City of Antipolo, Rizal.
The Elite will resume their first win hunt for the current conference while the Batang Pier hopes that today will be the day where they’ll find their lost mojo when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup continues in Ynares Center.
Seems like the former University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons, Paul Desiderio got his inspiration to play well from the most anticipated UAAP Final rematch between UP and Ateneo last September 29.
The Blackwater’s rookie who was picked at number four in the most recent PBA Draft had his breakout game against the NLEX Road Warriors where he poured his career-high 24 points backed by 6-of-8 shooting from beyond the three-point area.
Though that game didn’t deliver a win for his squad but his head coach Aris Dimaunahan saw a glimpse of bright areas that they can use as the tournament moves forward.
“It was a kind of a breakout game for him (Desiderio) here in the PBA,” said Dimaunahan. “The guys work hard in both ends of the court, and he’s a welcome addition to our scheme of things.”
For team NorthPort on the other hand, it was also a showdown between two upcoming superstars, CJ Perez and Robert Bolick.
Each time these two players go head-to-head, expect that there’ll be fireworks. Yet, in that match, Perez took the “W” against his college rival.
