It’s official, we will finally see Bobby Ray Parks Jr. in one of the PBA uniforms next season.

The son of the former PBA import who won several Best Import awards used his twitter account to tell his followers that he’s making it official.

With Parks Jr., included in the upcomingdraft he is a sure first round top two pick. Most likely he will rival with reigning NCAA MVP CJ Perez for the number 1 overall pick.

Parks was once a member of Gilas Pilipinas, a two-time UAAP MVP with National University Bulldogs, a D-League MVP with Happee Fresh Fighters, a short stint with the Mandaluyong El Tigre in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) and currently with the Alab Pilipinas in ABL.

This year’s draft the number one selection will once again go to Columbian Dyip. Last year they have the chance to land Christian Standhardinger but decided to trade it to three role players (Ronald Tubid, Jay-R Reyes and Rashawn McCarthy).

He will be a perfect fit with Dyip considering with their up-tempo style of game led by their current guard-duo of Jerramy King and Rashawn McCarthy. However, as mentioned above he will be competed by CJ Perez since both of them have the same style of game.

Overall, looking at their current resume, it appears that Parks Jr. has a lot to say.

The only downside for the team that will draft him this year is that they need to wait for ASEAN Basketball League to end their this year’s season. This is similar to Standhardinger’s situation last year with the San Miguel Beermen.
