Phoenix Fuel Masters forward Calvin Abueva has issued his apology through Instagram.
This may be the final piece in order to lift the indefinite suspension slapped by the PBA Commissioner’s office to him.
The man who is known as “the Beast” had an indecent gesture against a PBA fan then several nights later he clotheslined TNT KaTropa’s import Terrence Jones. Those two incidents led him to be out of the league.
Without Abueva, the Fuel Masters missed the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup playoffs whereas they were the number one team after the elimination round of the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup (with Abueva in the roster).
In this ongoing Phoenix campaign in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, the Fuel Masters is outside the top-eight squads at 2-7 win-loss record.
