The preliminary competition is mainly for showcasing contestants’ swimsuit and evening gown attire. Also, there’s the onstage attire at the start of the show.

Mak Tumang was the designer of Ms. Gray’s evening gown attire, Thailand’s princess Sirivannavari Nariratana designed the swimwear and Sherri Hill for her onstage.

Now that the preliminary competition is over, the judges should already have determined the Top 20 contestants. On December 17 (PHI time) a new Miss Universe will be revealed.
