The team China is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the team Qatar at 6:30 P.M. on August 11, 2017 in Zouk Mosbeh, Lebanon.
Both of teams are coming off a loss against their first respective assignments and looking to bounce back to keep its hopes alive in the ongoing 2017 FIBA Asia Cup tournament.
Down as much as 17 points, team China was resilient and keep its distance with their arch-rival team in Asia, the team Philippines.
Without their other stars like Yi Jianlian and its rising star Zhou Qi, the Chinese national basketball team went to Guo Ailun as their main man.
In the second half, team China was able to trim down the deficit and even took back the driver seat. However, their lone ace player (Guo Ailun) committed his last foul several more minutes to end the fourth quarter.

Gilas Pilipinas once again took the lead behind the hot shooting of their “Golden Boy” Terrence Romeo and eventually won the match.
For team Qatar, they will once again rely on Abdulrahman Saad who was their top performer player in their opening match.
Saad had a stellar FIBA Asia Cup debut with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Unfortunately, that effort wasn’t converted to a win and team Qatar is expected to bounce back strong in their game 2 opener.
