Here is the first leg of the Chooks-to-Go 3X3 scheduled on February 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM which will be held at the SM Megamall Event Center.
A total of 12 teams will be battling for Philippines 3X3 supremacy.
A combination of ex-professional and collegiate basketball players will be witnessed in the Event Center of SM Megamall.
Also, there’ll be Filipino-foreigners in the tournament but in this first season of the competition, there’ll be no imports.
According to Eric Altamirano, the commissioner of the league, this tournament is a preparation for the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
“It’s a complicated process and we don’t have the exact computation of how many points can be earned in this event. All we know is that every player who plays in a 3×3 competition whether it’s local or international will get points every time they play. The more he plays, the more points he gets, and those points will reflect on the federation as well,” said Altamirano.
“Only the top three or four teams in the FIBA 3×3 rankings will get sure spots in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The other top teams will be included in the Olympic Qualifying tournament where more spots will be up for grabs,” he added.
