Christian Standhardinger Got Traded For Mo Tautuaa

San Miguel Beermen forward Christian Standhardinger was reported that he got traded for NorthPort Batang Pier’s big-man Mo Tautuaa.

This player movement shook the PBA landscape the first the news got broke out.

Standhardinger was SMB’s first pick during the 2017 PBA draft and got high hopes when he finally joined the Beermen in the middle portion of the 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

The Fil-German is one of the catalysts of San Miguel during the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup where his main assignment was to shutdown TNT KaTropa’s super-import Terrence Jones in the Finals.

Standhardinger was the Best Player of the Game of that decisive Game 6.

Yet, in this 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, Standhardinger’s minutes went down and as a result, his contribution is below average considering his potential to deliver monster double-double numbers.

For Mo Tautuaa, he is also a top draft pick back in 2015. There was also hype even before he committed himself to join the draft.

However, many fans see that he came short to the expectations after he wears the TNT KaTropa uniform. In 2018, Tautuaa was sent to GlobalPort (now NorthPort) Batang Pier for Terrence Romeo, Yousef Taha and several future draft picks.

Under the basketball system of coach Pido Jarencio, Tautuaa unleashed his potential and was even one of the finalists of 2018 PBA Most Valuable Player award behind his now teammate June Mar Fajardo.
