The De La Salle University Green Archers is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the University of the East Red Warriors at 10:30 A.M. on October 16, 2019 live from the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.
The Green Archers will try to make a quick bounce back while the Red Warriors wanted to end their two-game losing slump when the UAAP Season 82 resumes in Pasay this morning.
Team DLSU is coming from a defeat against the league-leader Ateneo Blue Eagles last October 13 at the Big Dome.
That loss gave their opponent an automatic entry for the Final Four and at the same time their tenth straight victories.
Encho Serrano paced Lasal with his 15 markers while teammate Justine Baltazar chipped in with 23 points and nine boards.
For team UE on the other hand, they came short versus the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons last October 12 at the MOA Arena.
That game was a perfect example that basketball is a game of runs. In the opening quarter, it was all UP where they blasted a 27-8 margin. In the following quarter, UE woke up and responded with their own 20-2 spurt. In the second half, it was a similar scenario, yet in the most crucial moments, UP’s Kobe Paras and reigning MVP Bright Akhuetie took over to seal the deal.
Alex Diakhite led his team with his monster double-double performance. He logged 28 points and 20 rebounds.
Rey Suerte added 17 markers while Philip Manalang had 10 markers.
