The Far Eastern University Tamaraws is scheduled for a semi-finals game against the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers at 4:00 P.M. on November 6, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
The Tamaraws and the Growling Tigers will start the stepladder semis of the UAAP Season 82. The winner of the game will advance to the next round and will meet the University of the Philippines.
Both teams are having a split decision (1-1) during their two earlier bouts in the elimination round of the tournament.
In their first encounter last September 22, the Growling Tigers took the win with, 82-74 final score.
In that game, UST went to their outside shooters to secure the victory. Mark Nonoy and Rhenz Abando together with the surprise performance of Sherwin Concepcion were on the starring role as they led the Tigers shooting spree attack.
Soulemane Chabi Yo led UST in their offense during their first encounter with 21 points.
During their second match in the elims, the FEU made their bounce back with a convincing victory, 72-58.
This time around, the Tamaraws covered the shooters for UST plus they deployed their own version of surprise player in Royce Alforque who tallied his career-high of 16 points who shoots 7-of-8 from the field.
L-Jay Gonzales was the top scorer for coach Olsen Racela squad with his 17 points.
