PBA fans and its players alike were surprised with the sudden death of Cris Bolado.
Bolado was involved in a car crash accident occurred in Cambodia where the former PBA player runs a restaurant named Inasal Nation: Home of the authentic chicken inasal in the mentioned country.
According to the news, Bolado was riding a motorcycle and collided with a blue ISUZU car.

Before the popularity of Rain or Shine’s “Extra Rice Inc.” there was a man who got a moniker which was a household name and that is “Jumbo Bolado” because of his size.
Apart from that, he’s also known as the “Lucky” Bolado as he won seven straight championship titles since his rookie season in 1994 until the 1997 Commissioner’s Cup.

The 6’7″ bigman was originally drafted by then the Alaska Milkmen (now Alaska Aces) back in 1994 as the 13th pick overall in the second round. He won a total of 11 championship rings during his professional basketball career.
Bolado played a total of nine seasons in the Philippines Basketball Association and retired in 2003.
