Former Senator Jinggoy Estrada was released from the San Juan Police Station after he got arrested for violating the Enhanced Community Quarantine.

According to San Juan City Chief of Police Colonel Jaime Santos, they have invited Estrada to their police station after they received a complaint that the ex-senator violated the social distancing protocol when he distributed foods to several residents of the city.

The police gave reminders to Estrada about the guidelines of the Enhanced Community Quarantine and also told that whoever wanted to distribute relief goods should coordinate with the Local Government Unit (LGU).

Earlier, it was also reported that Mayor Francis Zamora mentioned that Estrada distributed foods and money in different barangays of San Juan. Yet, Estrada denied the allegations of Zamora and clarified that he only gave milkfish to residents.

Likewise, Estrada asserted that each time they have relief goods distribution campaign they make sure that social distancing is properly implemented.

No case was filed to Estrada and was only given a warning.
