Gaming Just Got Cooler with the OnePlus 11 Prototype with Active Cryoflux Watercooling

Get ready to experience the future of smartphone technology with the new OnePlus 11 Concept phone, featuring Active Cryoflux cooling technology, unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in Barcelona.

OnePlus claims that their new cooling solution can reduce smartphone temperature by up to 2.1℃, which can provide 3-4 additional frames per second during mobile gameplay, making it a true gaming phone. And that’s not all, Active Cryoflux can also bring the temperature down when charging by 1.6℃, reducing the charging time by 30-45 seconds, adding to the device’s already fast charging capability.

The Active CryoFlux cooling technology has miniaturized industry-grade cooling capabilities of gaming PCs into a smartphone, and the OnePlus 11 Concept itself showcases the possibility of this technology in terms of aesthetics and design, featuring an ice-themed back that runs along the camera module up to the back panel.

OnePlus has also showcased its latest flagship phone, the OnePlus 11 5G, at the MWC 2023 event. It’s exciting to see companies like OnePlus innovating smartphone technology and pushing the limits, especially when phones are becoming more and more alike.

If you’re a gamer and you’re looking for an even better experience, OnePlus also showcased a prototype of the OnePlus 11 with Active CryoFlux water-cooling. This prototype can reduce the temperature of the device by up to 2.1°c and in turn deliver improved framerate by up to 3-4 fps during gameplay. The water-cooling components are built into the device, with nearly no increase in thickness or weight, thanks to piezoelectric micropumps that move the liquid using voltage.

To differentiate the prototype from the vanilla version, OnePlus has used a clear rear cover to provide a view of the liquid flowing through the pipelines. The cooling encompasses the back of the smartphone as well as the circular ring on the camera.

Although the Active Cryoflux cooler is only a prototype at this point, OnePlus is also showing off something similar that might land in the hands of users – the OnePlus 45 Liquid Cooler. It acts as a more traditional external accessory for a smartphone but it claims to cool down a device by up to 20°c.

Get ready for a new level of smartphone gaming and technology with the OnePlus 11 Concept and the prototype with Active Cryoflux water-cooling. Stay tuned for more exciting innovations from OnePlus.
