The Gin Kings will make its 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup debut this evening and hopes that it will be the start of their return to the season-ending supremacy while the Aces wanted to avenge their Friday’s loss when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup continues this evening in Cubao, Quezon City.
Back in 1995, Alaska got the chance to select a rookie using its sixth overall pick and that player turned out to be Jeffrey Cariaso and the head coach of the then Milkmen was Tim Cone.
Both Cone and Cariaso helped Alaska capture its first grand slam also in that year.
Fast forward to the present, tonight “The Jet” and the holder of the most wins in the PBA will clash against each other this time calling shots from the sidelines.
The majority of the players of coach Cone are healthy and ready to rumble while for coach Cariaso, several of his key players are still nursing their respective injury.
Also last Friday, Aces center Noy Baclao suffered a knee injury that could sideline him for several weeks.
“We can only expect a well-oiled machine in Ginebra. They looked game ready versus the LG Sakers. They are passing the ball fluidly, moving with a purpose, and defending well together,” said Cariaso.
