The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Blackwater Elite at 7:00 P.M. on October 30, 2019 live from the Cuneta Astrodome, Pasay City.
The Gin Kings wanted to improve their current standings at 5-2 at the same time strengthen their top-four bid while the Elite will try to climb up from the tournament cellar when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup resumes in Cuneta Astrodome this evening.
The Gin Kings like will be entering the eye of the storm before they’ll see their tough ride in their following two final matches.
The eye of storm maybe calm but it is still posing threats to the squad of coach Tim Cone as Blackwater made some tweaks in its lineup where they exchanged a shooter and a bruiser for two long-range gunners.
This adjustment to the roster of the Elite will force the defense of their opponents to stretch out and if they’ll able to maximize that threat it’ll make the big-men of Ginebra almost non-existing in the main game of PBA Wednesday.
“Blackwater has built their team around a lot of shooters, so we’re going to have to get out and extend on all of them. They will pose some very tough matchups for us,” said Cone.
Ginebra is currently on a three-game winning streak, of course, they wanted to stretch it as long as it can be.
If they’re able to take the “W” tonight, they’ll be rewarded a 5-2 win-loss card and will be tied with their Govs’ Cup rival, the Meralco Bolts at number 3.
