The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Columbian Dyip at 7:00 P.M. on June 20, 2018 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Gin Kings has ignited fire and they’re now in a blazing two-game winning streak, a perfect timing for them as the Quarterfinals approaches while the Dyip are looking for a consistent basketball as they are close on making to the next round.

Barangay Ginebra is most likely the most busiest team this week as they acquired Jeff Chan from Phoenix Petroleum Fuel Masters and Julian Sargent of the GlobalPort Batang Pier. These moves were done after they have swept their last two opponents and now on the way on breaking the top 8.

“We’re a little more comfortable now,” said Ginebra coach Tim Cone.

With the “Negros Sniper” in the Ginebra fold, coach Cone will have now a pure shooter at his disposal and he already brewed a plan how to utilize his skills.

“Jeff obviously fills a big hole for us. His ability to spread the floor for Greg (Slaughter) and Japeth (Aguilar) could spell the difference,” said Cone.

LA Tenorio had a stellar game during the Father’s Day last Sunday as they toppled their long time rival the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok. That was Ginebra’s seven game winning streak in the “Manila Classico” match. Tenorio dropped 22 points, six rebounds and five assists while their import Justin Brownlee had another monster game as he registered 35 points.

The Columbian Dyip on the other hand has finally break its losing spell. They’re were able to snap it when they clashed with the Phoenix Petroleum Fuel Masters. Rashwan McCarthy and Jerramy King were on point just like they used to do in the early stages of the second conference. The combo guards had a combined 30 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists.
